Corporate Social Responsibility
Based on one of our core values “Respect”, which states that we are good neighbours wherever we operate, and the fact that we are living in one world regardless of the distances, CSR is an attribute to the society and people.In addition, we recognise the increasing need to care for the environment. We do this through various programs such as promoting recycling as stated in our mission statement, providing ongoing support through the value chain and helping societies develop their understanding and involvement in environmental improvements.
Borouge CSR consider four main elements:
The Work Place aims at promoting a healthy and positive working environment based on ethics, equal opportunity and values.
The Market Place element of the CSR cycle includes the consistent application of business ethics and morals, treating people with respect irrespective of culture and background.
The Communities and Societies, means helping develop the communities and societies where "We Operate" which is clear in our core values in particular "Respect"
The "Environment" recognises the need for us to ensure we are a positive contributor with respect to ongoing world-wide initiatives such as "Climate Change" and “Sustainable Development".
