Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

Manufacturing & Production

Our Production teams are responsible for the safe operation of our polyolefin production facilities - comprising of Polyethylene Plants, Polypropylene Plants, Olefins Plants, LDPE Plant, XLPE Plant and Utilities & Offsite, to achieve our production targets in compliance with quality and sound HSE practices.

The Compounding Manufacturing Plant (CMP) in Shanghai, China, compounds resins from Abu Dhabi specifically for customers in the automotive market of Asia North. The annual capacity of the plant is being expanded from 50,000 to 90,000 t/y to meet market demand.

Who we look for
A successful candidate in this job group will be an experienced plant operations professional (Operator, Supervisor, Engineer, etc) with relevant education in Chemical Engineering and at least five years experience in operations, preferably in PE, PP, HDPE, LDPE, XLPE, Cracker and Utility plants. All candidates should possess good English language communication skills, be proficient in the use of computers, be an excellent team player, have high competence in HSE practices, be willing to work in shifts and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

We seek Chinese candidates who have previous experience in manufacturing plants, preferably in the plastic industry.

Technical Group

Technical Group is the business process owner of all the Plants' Asset Integrity; Process Safety Management; Inspection; Project Engineering and Delivery; Technical Authority Governance and Support; Turnaround Management and Execution. Our Engineering team covers mainly all type of disciplines in the aspect of Plant Modification, Improvement and Inspection. The various disciplines would cover from Electrical, Mechanical, E&I, Control, Process, Metallurgy, Welding & Corrosion, among others.

Who we look for
As our demand to maintain and further improve our facilities and processes grows, we employ Project Engineers, Discipline Expert Engineers, Inspection Specialists, Planners and PDS Designers under this category.

A successful candidate in this job group would be an expert Engineer with extensive experience in plant construction / modifications and continuous improvement of petrochemical plants. All candidates must have very good English communication skills, be proficient in the use of a computer, be an excellent team player, safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Maintenance

Borouge's Maintenance Organization is called "Plant Availability (PA) Function" and responsible for the efficient maintenance and ensuring the availability of smooth operations at the plants in Ruwais. PA has evolved over the years to become a high quality maintenance service provider for the whole of the Borouge complex. The function consists of nine departments; Maintenance Execution Polyolefins, Maintenance Execution Olefins, Maintenance Execution Polypropylene, Maintenance Execution Utilities & Offsite, Maintenance Execution Specialty Polymers, Maintenance Execution Material Handling & Services, Maintenance Execution Turnarounds, Maintenance Strategy and Systems and Central Maintenance – Automation & Control. The first seven are essential to carry out the routine daily maintenance jobs in the plants, while the others are supporting those activities. Its prime function is to provide high quality service to the operational units in order to achieve and maintain high levels of safe, reliable and continuous production.

Who we look for
A successful candidate will have experience from oil, gas and petrochemical companies with relevant education and several years of experience in the position. All candidates must have very good English communication skills, be proficient in the use of a computer, be an excellent team player, be safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Innovation, Research & Product Development

The Borouge Innovation Centre's vision is to become the leader of innovative plastics solutions in the Middle East and Asia. Located in Abu Dhabi city with state-of-the-art equipment, the Innovation Centre will initially focus on development of pipe, film and molding applications.

The Abu Dhabi Innovation Centre which was completed in 2013, has enhanced Borouge's capability to serve its customers and to develop grades according to their needs. The Centre is an investment by Borouge to strengthen its sales and marketing and to support its customers’ ambitions in Shaping the Future with Plastics.

Who we look for
Our Innovation Organization is always on the lookout for professionals with pioneering and creative minds that fall under the following professions:

  • Researchers in Polymer
  • Lab Technicians and Specialists
  • Product Development Engineers

They should have a relevant Masters/PhD in chemical engineering and polymer science with extensive research and development exposure with different grades of polyethylene/polypropylene and at least minimum of 6-10 years experience in a similar field

Sales & Marketing

Borouge's Sales and Marketing team is the arm that extends to the world with our wide range of plastic products to hundreds of customers and end users. They also increase our market share and image throughout the Middle East and Asia by creating strategic, long term marketing plans and developing new products and applications based on industry needs.

Who we look for
The typical professionals we recruit under this category are Application Marketing Managers, Product Owners, Technical Service Professionals, Sales and Business Development Executives who have a relevant degree in Engineering / Marketing / Business with at least seven years in the business of polymer application production, sales, and marketing. All candidates must have excellent sales and marketing qualifications, exceptional English communication skills, as well as excellent customer orientation and business acumen.

Supply Chain Management

Supply Chain Management is an organisation tasked to oversee movement of materials, information, and finances as they progress in a defined process. This involves coordinating and integrating these flows within Borouge’s various Functions and Departments.

Who we look for
The typical professionals we recruit under this category are Supply/Demand Planners, Customer Services Officers, Logistics and Shipping Specialists who possess relevant Bachelor Degrees and at least five years experience in similar / multi-national firms in supply chain and logistics. Excellent English language communication skills, good team spirit and the have the ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment are a must.

Health, Safety, Environment

The essential goal of our Corporate HSE is to strategically provide advice and sustainable implementation in the direction and technical support of Health, Safety & Environment. It also administers and practices Corporate Social Responsibility for our Borouge Production and Marketing businesses.

Who we look for
We employ various types and levels of HSE professionals in this category – Safety Engineers, HSEQ Specialists, Fire & Rescue Attendants and Industrial Hygiene Specialists with relevant education in HSE and at least five years experience in the oil/gas & petrochemical industry. All candidates must have very good English communication skills, be proficient in the use of a computer, an excellent team player, safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Information Technology & Automation

Information management and technology has a direct impact on the image of Borouge’s Business and Operations. The IT organisation is responsible for promoting and providing a modern infrastructure technology with service-based applications necessary to perform all required integrated business activities in a cost efficient manner. Our IT team’s credo is: "To deliver fit for purpose IT solutions and quality services".

Who we look for
We recruit System Analysts, Network Engineers, SAP Professionals and Automation Specialists under this category with a relevant degree in Information Technology and at least five years relevant experience in automation and information technology. All candidates must have very good command of English, advanced skills in the use of computer softwares and hardwares, be an excellent team player, safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Finance, Audit & Accounting

Our Finance, Accounting & Auditing functions are providers of timely and accurate financial information, reports and support to the organisation, regulators, shareholders and partners to allow for effective and efficient management and control, while ensuring the safety and integrity of our assets.

Who we look for
We employ Accountants, Financial Analysts, Credit Analysts and Auditors under this category who possess a relevant degree in Accounting with at least five years experience in the oil/gas/petrochemical industry. Procurement

The mission of the Procurement Function under the Shared Services Organisation within Borouge is to execute a smooth acquisition process for providing materials and services on time, as required for all its internal customers, with the right quality and prices at all locations covering requirements at Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other Borouge offices.

Who we look for
The ideal candidates for this category would be experienced Buyers, Purchasing Specialists, Contracts Specialists and Material Engineers with a technical degree in an engineering discipline preferably with an MBA. All candidates must possess at least five years experience in a similar role and must have very good English communication skills, be proficient in the use of computers and software (preferably SAP), an excellent team player, safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Human Resources, Administration & Training

The Administration Group provides leadership and guidance in the formulation and implementation of the Company's HR & A policies and programs to promote efficient and effective people and talent management in an organisational environment. The group provides valueadded and innovative HR & A strategic and operational solutions by acting as a business enabler to achieve the Company’s planned objectives and strategies.

The Admin Group's range of services includes workforce planning, recruitment and integration, employee relations, competency management, policies and procedures, change management, career development, talent management as well as general services and administration services.

Who we look for
We employ experienced HR professionals in diverse fields of specialisations (Compensation & Benefits, Workforce Planning, HR Strategy, Career Development, HR Policy, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruitment & Selection and Administration, etc) with at least five years experience in a progressive oil/gas/petrochemical organisation. Who we look for
We employ various types and levels of professionals in this category – with relevant Engineering and Business background of at least five years experience preferably in the oil/gas & petrochemical industry. Positions under this Job group also includes Laboratory Technicians with relevant Chemical or Chemistry background of at least 4 years in petrochemical industry. All candidates must have very good English communication skills, be proficient in the use of a computer, an excellent team player, safety conscious and have the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Global Communication

Our Global Communications Team manages and orchestrates all internal and external communications aimed at creating a favourable point of view amongst stakeholders on which the company depends. Global Communication includes media relations, speech writing, employee communication, corporate advertising, and community relations.

Who we look for
We employ experienced Communications and Media professionals in diverse fields of specialisations - Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Events Management, etc. with at least five years experience in a progressive global organisation.
