Emiratization Strategy
As a Company, we are committed to increasing the number of employees from the UAE National population. This has inspired the creation of dynamic and specialized departments to develop and drive performance of local graduates from schools, colleges and universities through delivering planned development programmes to achieve business objectives.
In order to contribute to welfare and growth of job creation in the UAE, Borouge is committed to granting preference to UAE nationals when hiring staff and targets 75% of all positions in the UAE to be Emiratised by the year 2017. Currently 47% of our total senior management positions are held by UAE nationals, thus reflecting advanced Emiratisation in leadership roles.
Further to supporting the local communities where we operate, the local residents of Ruwais and the Western District of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are given preference for positions at the Company’s production plant located there, thereby allowing the local community to directly benefit from the expansion projects.
