Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

  • To fulfil Borouge commitment to Responsible Care charter regarding product stewardship code.

  • Borouge strategic HSE to implement the product stewardship program througuout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Ensure Borouge products and activites are in compliance with relevant chemical management regulations / Standards within Borouge territory .

  • Function as the specialist for Borouge territory Product Stewardship regulations in close cooperation with the Borealis Product Stewardship organization.



Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for successful implementation of Borouge product stewardship program in accordance with Responsible Care Code.

  • Develop and maintain the integrated management systems of Borouge Product Stewardship

  • Monitor applicable legislation related to Borouge Products and their applications and take necessary actions to secure Borouge business objectives.

  • Borouge Technical leads for EU REACH Regulations and emerging REACH- like legislation in countries where Borouge market its product.

  • Establish and maintain specific Product Stewardship procedures and workflows, including raw material qualification/approval, new and existing product risks characteriaizaion and management, compliance stataments, etc.

  • Implement Borouge product stewardship support system, such as SAP EH&S.

  • Manage product stewardship documentations, including development, revision and issuance and queries relating to:

  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

  • Safety Information Sheets(SIS)

  • Food contact statements

  • Drinking water pipes statements

  • Medical statements

  • Composition statements

  • Reply to queries and demands raised by customers regarding product stewardship and chemical regulatory issue through Marketing Group

  • Deliver product stewardship and chemical regulatory trainings as necessary

  • Participate in relevant external forums/trainings in order to share best practices and learning, and submit Borouge positions/comments on relevant regulations to authorities through trade assiciations etc.

  • Provide support to Asia South HSE manager for product stewardship initiatives as well as Corporate HSE Team for specific HSE initiatives.

  • Other tasks assigned by line manager or management team.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor degree or above on chemical related discipline

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Over 10 years work experience in product stewardship, product safety and chemical regulations areas.

  • Proven tracks on new/existing chemical registration, food contact material and pharmaceutical regulations are preferred.

  • Good English spoken and written skills.

  • Competent in use of MS Office Tools

  • Travel frequency – up to maximium 10%of working time
