Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the planning, development and execution of strategic and tactical internal and external communications programmes that promote Borouge’s business goals.

The position holder will provide integrated communications counsel and support to one or more Borouge departments/ business lines, delivering professional marketing communications, internal communications, media relations, social media engagement, corporate identity and brand guidance to internal and external stakeholders in line with the Global Communications’ and Business Line/Marketing Centre’s direction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Serve as business partner to assigned Business Line/ Marketing Centre /Internal Department to deliver integrated internal and external communications requirements of the assigned stakeholders.

  • Prepare annual communications plan and budgets for a variety of communications and marketing communications programmes/ activities in support of the assigned Business Line/Marketing Centre/Internal Department and drive execution of the plan within the approved budgets.

  • Proactively plan, develop and deliver effective communications and marketing communications campaigns, events, exhibitions and other initiatives that engage internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the business/functional goals.

  • Prepare/write of press releases, craft and deliver social media posts and develop of various corporate/ marketing communications presentations and other assets such as brochures and videos, internal presentations, online and print materials, working with internal stakeholders and vendors as required to achieve set goals with positive outcomes.

  • Champion the Borouge brand and drive company-wide alignment and compliance with global communications policies, procedures, and corporate and visual identity guidelines.

  • Actively work to support organization and implementation of internal and external company initiatives that drive brand building and reputation management. These include employee engagement programs, corporate social responsibility projects, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) initiatives and crisis communications, among others.

  • Deliver any Communications operations or administrative requirements and/or perform any other work duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

KPIs/Measurements

  • High quality communications deliverables and positive project-based performance measures (e.g. on-budget delivery, timeliness, quality)

  • Positive feedback from assigned Business Line/ Marketing Centre /Internal Department and other internal stakeholders on position-holder’s attitude, responsiveness and quality of delivery.

Job Requirements  Minimum Qualification
  • University degree or above

  • 8+ years of communications/marketing communications-related work experience

Technical Competencies: 

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, public relations, and marketing communications

  • Strong organization and project management skills; attention to details is critical

  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal language skills in Mandarin/Chinese

  • Strong proficiency in written and verbal language skills in English

  • Understanding of petrochemical / plastics industry will be an advantage

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Team player with positive attitude and excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
