Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the Role

You will support the Growth Project team to identify market information, new business opportunities and potential customers for Borouge’s new investments. You will also support building market competitive landscape, value chain, and opportunity pipeline for business and nurture key relationships.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify market information, business opportunity and potential customers in alignment of Borouge new growth investments
  • Prepare market entry plan for respective new investments
  • Provide with Market Intelligence on regular basis about the market development of olefin, polyolefin and liquid chemcials (C4 and Benzene stream)
  • Monitor the market regulations, import/export development, competitor and value chain partners movement, etc., and any changes to these and other factors which may result in changes of the market
  • Create and execute Project Work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Coordinate with Growth Project team and other project teams to meet project requirements
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on the Project
  • Ensure Project documents are complete, up to date and stored appropriately
  • Coordinate Project activities with regulatory body or business associations, if necessary
  • Align with major stakeholders on relevant project issues

  • Mainly Growth Project team, Business Centre, Marketing Centres, Sales Regions, Finance and Corporate Governance

External Communications & Working Relationships

  • ADP, ADNOC, Borealis

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Mastery of English at business level
  • Native speaking in key major countries in Asia Pacific (e.g. China, India) is a plus
  • 10 to 15 years experience in sales and market development
  • Solid understanding of olefin, polyolefin and liquid chemicals (C4 and Benzene stream), and overall petrochemical market
  • Experience in managing growth and investment projects
  • Excellent project management knowledge and handle project budget
  • Technology knowledge and well experienced in the polyolefin and liquid chemicals
  • Recognized for sound decision making and for not being conflict avoiding
  • Recognized as high performing, successful manager of change, complexity, diversity and risks
  • Prior sales and market development experience in petrochemical company
  • Demonstrated business leadership, project management and commercial abilities
  • Demonstrated strategic business development capability to define business roadmap, with experience growing business from feasibility stage into realization stage
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
  • Result oriented professional with strong integration skills who can work across organization lines
  • Communication and negotiation capability
  • Networking skills
  • Advanced skills in presentation, coaching and communication
  • Lead efficiently international networks
  • Live, promote and monitor compliance with Borouge Values
