Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

About the Role Reporting to VP, Business Center, you will be responsible to develop long term product portfolio strategy and roadmap to maximize returns on assets and increase profitability with differentiated product at scale. You will also be overall responsible for the short and long-term profitability of the product portfolio, balancing long-term strategic objectives with short-term profit optimization. You will act as a cross company (ADP/PTE) and cross-functional interface, lead and drive actions related to product portfolio optimization and roadmap, providing guidance at operational and tactical level. Furthermore, you will support long term assets investments by providing business case assumptions and validations. You will also propose Business Center floor price based on internal PO/feedstock supply and PO inventory situations. You will be involved in the continuous improvement in existing processes related to product management and pricing.
Key Accountabilities


  • Involve the inventory target setting for Business Centre VP approval based on product and regional strategy, approved services level (allocation coverage rates) and tactical pricing options
  • Responsible for ensuring that the inventory is within the target and involve in decisions making to optimize the product mix production to manage the inventory level
  • Review yearly stock point decisions, and handle any changes by exception during the year linked to strategic decision
  • Involve in the proposal pertaining to safety and turnaround stock as part of the Business plan process


  • Develop the PE or PP product portfolio strategy for the 5 years business plan period and initiate necessary projects and/or taskforce to ensure implementation
  • Lead yearly review of product segmentation
  • Lead quarterly PPM meeting and drive actions to improve product portfolio and escalate key issues to QBR
  • Lead PE and PP profit optimisation meetings to drive discussions and actions specific to technical and operational issuesto improve product quality and better asset utilization
  • Cascade product portfolio strategy and business plan as well as any relevant strategic topics from QBR and PPM to ensure alignment
  • Escalate any key issues to PPM
  • Lead optimisation of the short and medium term product mix by balancing business and asset needs


  • Set monthly Business Center floor prices for all relevant product groups and regions (incl. Borealis) for VP Business Centre approval

Business Plan

  • Lead the key activities and coordinate with the relevant functions for the inputs that are specific to Product Management balancing
  • Develop the overall product road map for PE (or PP) considering all cross-functional inputs, coordinating the definition of the optimum product life cycles
  • Deliver the optimize 5 year business plan based on regions, marketing centres’ and productions, ensuring the quality of the overall SOP process during the annual business planning
  • Ensure that business plan processes are aligned within different functions in Borouge and with Borealis

Asset development

  • Initiate and evaluate business cases jointly with Asset Development to support the PE and PP product roadmap
  • Align with Market Center and provide PTE business assumptions (volume and premium) to support Asset Development’s business cases for investment projects.


  • Evaluate innovation proposal from overall portfolio perspective in  the Project Portfolio Management Meeting
  • Propose innovation projects to support the product roadmap and optimize the product portfolio mix and assets
  • Review business cases and drive actions should the business cases not met 

Business Continuity

  • Provide inputs to risk management team for product business continuity plan

Qualifications & Experience
  • Masters Degree in Economics/Chemistry/Engineering; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in petrochemical or similar or related industry
  • Working experience in relevant function within Borouge for at least 3 years preferred
  • Thorough understanding of PO market and products in Asia & Middle East
  • Excellent understanding of profit drivers in business and operation
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to drive decisions
  • Problem solving and influencing skills
  • Financial literacy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal
  • Strong organising and planning
