Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About The Role

Reporting to VP, Regional Supply Chain Asia South, you will lead the Asia South warehousing/logistic network design, strategy establishment and implementation. Supervise logistics team in the region to

  1. Manage the Borouge hubs/warehouses through the respective Logistic Service Provider (LSP) in each hub/warehouse under the frame work of the established contracts;
  2. Manage the Delay in Transit (DIT) location / port in Asia South Supply Chain setup under the frame work of the established contracts;
  3. Manage the established shipping contracts from the Regional Logistical setups to the end customer and/or other Regional/Local Warehouses and DIT locations;
  4. Develop and implement short and long term warehousing, packaging & distribution strategies, policies and procedures as well as lead and manage resources provided by the LSP to ensure deliver high quality with desired productivity within the established Borouge goals, objectives and KPI's and
  5. Initiate supply chain / logistic solution in compliance with complex business requirement.
Key Accountabilities

Operations Management

  • Develop and implement short to long term warehousing, packaging & distribution strategies designed to reduce costs and improve quality and service to ensure achievement of Borouge goals and objectives
  • Lead in the establishment of hub/warehouse KPIs, policies and procedures to ensure efficient handling of Borouge resources in compliance in close coordination with the LSP
  • Oversee the effectiveness of LSP operations and propose methods for continuous improvement to achieve business objectives while insuring service standards that will exceed our customer's expectations
  • Ensure that LSP is following Borouge business process flows for the assigned tasks as per the contract
  • Initiate in coordination with LSP and other functions in SCM the operation preparedness of the hubs/warehouses, and the related SOP for the facility. Constantly review them for continual improvement and changes in customer and/ or business requirements
  • Ensure the timely implementation of inbound material flow to the hubs/warehouses by proper coordination with related SCM function or service partner and LSP
  • Follow up outbound material flow from the hub/warehouse and inventory of finished material with LSP to ensure all deliveries and shipments are executed as per given plans
  • Manage the Delay in Transit (DIT) locations / ports in Asia South Supply Chain network to ensure full support from port management
  • Coordinate issue of required Purchase Orders for all packing materials needed for the hubs in line with the agreed specification for each material, and using the approved suppliers as per Borouge Procurement guidelines
  • Analyse and forecast Borouge future needs and requirements by keeping abreast of market and services trends and developments
  • Review and approve all invoices raised by the LSP in line with the contract clauses, and monitor adherence to budget and business plans
  • Oversee the achievement of the assigned KPI's for the LSP by continuous follow up and in monthly KPI's meetings. Follow up of agreed corrective plans and actions to align with the KPI's
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through enforcing all the agreed safety programmes and procedures with the LSP
  • Conduct coaching and training of assigned Borouge personnel to ensure and foster a well-trained and motivated team in the workplace



  • Directly manage logistics team in Asia South, conduct the performance evaluation for them
  • Assign Logistics team member to join the Asia South Supply Chain related contract process
  • Provide feedback to LSP and team members to improve work processes and work environment
  • Lead and coach team to ensure a skilled and competent team
  • Ensure proper training and development given for improved performance
  • Sufficient rewarding structure for retention of staffs
  • Develop Potential Career Progression Plan for staffs
  • Ensure work life balance is maintained and improved work environment



  • Communicate effectively with relevant departments to ensure that agreed procedures are clearly understood and implemented
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team in developing the best logistical structure to serve the customer while restraining costs, and consequentially maximizing margins. 
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service, working as part of the team to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time and to the right destination
  • Adherence to agreed procedures and policies by LSP and delegated service partners
  • Collaborate with stake holders for DIT operation including Port Management to maximise the benefit of DIT
  • Ensure win-win solutions for all parties in any arising business situation
  • To act and respond to customer’s feedback, claims and complaints promptly to avoid repeated incidents
Qualifications & Experience


  • University degree within Supply Chain/ Logistic/ Business/ Chemical/ Economics or related discipline qualification
  • Project Management Certified, APICS, SCOR certified preferable

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • At least 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and processes of petrochemical
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and regulations in the assigned location
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain theories and practices
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge of Logistics Network Modelling software, Windows, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of logistics processes, standards and procedures
  • Experience of supporting large scale project
  • Understanding of Borouge and its businesses
  • Proficiency in English and native language
  • Competence in relevant systems and tools
