Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the job

Reporting to the Chief Representative, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining an efficient database and filing system of records, organizational documents and reports.
  • Manage internal and external general enquiries.
  • Administer the insurance plans for offices, furniture & fittings, business travel, employee health insurance.
  • Ensure procurement of goods and services adheres to Borouge HQ procurement procedure.
  • Facilitate office leases including renewal.
  • Assist Chief Representative to plan and prepare the office operational budget and monitor the operational expenses.
  • Responsible for the general administration of:
  • Front desk and reception
  • Access & name cards for employees
  • Office stationery & office equipment
  • Manage mail and courier services.
  • Manage travel schedule
  • Vendor / Suppliers Database
  • Liaise with outside vendors
  • Responsible for planning, execution and supervision of all facilities management and operational activities to ensure that facilities are well maintained.
  • Assist Chief Representative to coordinate with regulatory bodies on audits and regulatory matters pertaining to facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Liaise with building management on parking arrangements.
  • Establish a systematic and cost effective inspection and maintenance program and prepare detailed checklist for inspection.
  • Review repair and maintenance contracts and ensure services delivered conform to the provisions of contract.
  • Coordinate with Borouge HQ Human Resource to facilitate space planning to ensure safe and efficient department seating.
  • Administrate cleaning contracts - Schedule regular inspections and implement effective preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintain an updated record of all office facilities / plans i.e., fire safety plans, air-con, electrical etc.
  • Work with relevant agencies on safety issues relating to facilities. Coordinate investigation on accidents relating to facilities where required.
  • Carry out routine security audit, performance reviews and proposing improvements.
  • Organize  fire and evacuation drills in coordination with building management
  • Support in the organizing activities for the rep office.
  • Provide support and collaborate with respective Customer Service Officers in order to deliver company message in local language and help in expediting the payments.


About you

To be a successful candidate, you should possess:

  • Degree / Diploma or equivalent formal education
  • 5-8 years relevant work experience in sales office administration
  • Experience in working with MS Office tools independently
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Competent in preparing reports and documents
  • Good internal and external networking skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English as well as a native language
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Team player
