About the job:

Borouge's Maintenance Organization is called "Plant Availability (PA) Function" and responsible for the efficient maintenance and ensure the availability for smooth operations of the plants in Ruwais. It consists of five departments- Maintenance Execution Polyolefins, Maintenance Execution Olefins, Maintenance Execution Infrastructure, Maintenance Strategy and Services. The three first ones are essential to carry out the routine daily maintenance jobs in the plants, while the others are supporting those activities.

Reporting to the Control Supervisor, you will be part of the maintenance execution team and will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out skilled installation, field Instruments, and Control system equipments (DCS, PLC and ESD systems) in the assigned operating plants.
  • Assisting the supervisor in complex repairs, critical equipment shut-down and helps in maintaining data log of jobs.
  • Participating in carrying out the annual shutdown or major equipment turnarounds in the Plant.
  • Complying with all HSE and fire related rules and regulations and observes all requirements stringently.
  • Assisting supervisor in complex repairs, critical equipment shut-down and helps in maintaining data log of jobs.
  • Leading group of technicians for a certain task defined by the supervisor.

 

About you:

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Electronics & Communication, Control or Instrument Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum six (6) years work experience in control / instrument maintenance field in the oil, gas, petrochemical or related industry.
  • Good knowledge of Control facilities, repair, testing and maintenance of field instrumentation, online analyzers, lab equipments and control room equipments in the in the oil, gas, petrochemical or related industry.
  • Awareness about Hazardous Area Classifications and HSE Policy.
  • Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Very good initiative and team player.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office - Word, Excel, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge in CMMS - SAP is preferred but not required
