About the job:

Plant Availability Function has evolved over the years to become a high quality maintenance service provider for the whole of the Borouge's complex. The function consists of five departments; Polyolefins, Olefins, Strategy, Infrastructure and Services,  which are all essential to carry out the routine daily maintenance jobs in the plants. The prime function of the department is to provide high quality service to operational units in order to achieve and maintain high levels of safe, reliable and continuous production.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be part of the maintenance services team and will be responsible for:

  • Supervision of all types  of scaffolding like independent access scaffolds, birdcage scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, truss out scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, tower scaffolds, hoist towers and loading bays,  insulation works, painting work in the plant to enable maintenance works to take place on a variety of equipments.
  • Coordinates and administers a team of contractor involved in Painting, insulation, scaffolding and refractory services all over the plant etc.
  • Supervises the critical activities related to preventive /corrective maintenance of Plant equipment which requires scaffolding arrangement, insulation removal and installation, painting activities on process equipments and pipe lines and also internal refractory services on furnaces and boilers.
  • Assures the compliance of proper scaffolding types, insulation/painting materials to equipment & right equipment for right job
About you:

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Diploma in Engineering.
  • CITB certification Level 2 in scaffolding
  • 6 to 8  years experience in the scaffolding, insulation and painting activities in an oil/gas/petrochemical or Power Plants or Crackers, PE Plants.
  • Good knowledge of English, written & spoken
  • Good knowledge of the scaffolding arrangement, insulation removal and installation, painting at site,
  • Knowledge in using computerized equipment with preference to SAP.
  • Good leadership skill to handle multi-disciplinary functions
