About the job:

Supply chain management and Logistics is an organisation tasked to oversee movement of materials, information, and finances as they progress in a defined process. These involve coordinating and integrating these flows within Borouge's various Functions and Departments.

Reporting to the Product Handling Network  Manager, you will be part of the global logistics team and you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring total HSE compliance according to Borouge standards.
  • Conducting audits of the work place to check the status of LSP compliance with respect to the SOP’s, Work Instructions and Procedures. 
  • Carrying out Root Cause Analyses (RCA) in tracing main causes of the customer complaints.
  • Monitoring and initiate implementation of corrective/preventive actions whenever improvement has to be done in cases of customer complaints.
  • Participating in any improvement project, study, modification, development or testing concerning packaging material specifications and material handling flow that will further improve the quality and generate savings for the company.
  • Generating procedures, guidelines and practices that will improve the efficiency and/or quality of product handling activities at Borouge operating locations. 
  • Benchmarking and propose good manufacturing practices to be implemented.
  • Communicating and coordinate effectively with concerned departments to ensure that agreed procedures are clearly understood and implemented.
  • Adhering to agreed procedures and policies by LSP and delegated business partners
  • Coordinating with other departments and business partners to implement agreed documentation and work flow control for all the ports
About you:

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor of Science Graduate in any of the Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electronics and Communication, Chemical Engineering and/or Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Petrochemical Industry  specifically in Product or Material Handling of polymer/polyolefin products
  • Above average knowledge on product handling operations, equipment and shipping activities
  • Basic knowledge of product grades  characteristics and their specific packaging modes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
  • Basic knowledge on the packaging materials problem and troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge in ISO  quality in formulation of documents ( i.e. SOP, Procedure, Work Instruction, Guidelines)
  • Basic knowledge in contract interpretation and application
  • Good SAP knowledge
