Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the Job

Role Purpose:


Manage and develop sales and marketing activities through branches and agents with customers by the delivery of products and services to meet customer demands within defined areas to meet business targets.



C1. Area of responsibility

  • Forecast and plan volumes for products within defined region to ensure product availability for customers within cost limits

  • Manage sales activities (volumes, margins, customer base) to maximize profitability

  • Ensure customer service  standards for regional area is achieved within defined targets and costs within defined policies and undertake any appropriate actions when necessary

  • Manage goal setting process and relationship with agents and distributors to ensure products are marketed according to business strategies and policies

  • Conduct market intelligence and provide feedback to competitor pricing and investments, existing and target product mix, growth opportunities and potential development partners for collaboration to business units

  • Develop and solicit agreement to Regional Business strategies and plans with details on planned activities to develop Borouge’s market position, expected business results and required

  • Manage customer terms and conditions, pricing agreements and credit deals to ensure alignment with defined policies

  • Assist the Sales Manager in becoming more customer-oriented

  • Participate and determine negotiation levels

  • Maintain market dialogue with value chain within regional areas to consolidate Borouge’s position

  • Influence the market through strategic contact and relationships.

  • Identify growth opportunities through interaction with key players




S1. Education

  • University degree


    S2. Experience

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant work experience

  • Basic knowledge of customer conversion process

  • Good knowledge of Borouge products and its applications

  • Good knowledge of marketing strategy and value chain

  • Good understanding of market structure and factors influencing demand and profitability in market

  • Good understanding of customer needs across Manager’s defined regional area of responsibility

  • Good financial literacy

  • Expert knowledge of selling and sales management techniques

  • Good SAP skills

  • Conversant in third language recommended

  • Good planning skills

  • Good proficiency in standard office software

  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills
