Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the Role

Reporting to Senior Advisor, CEO's Office, you are responsible for ensuring successful delivery of corporate-level special projects in line with the strategic objectives of the company, which are often confidential in nature. You will also support the CEO’s office with executive meetings, events and provide key strategic analyses prior to the session for leadership decision making. In addition, you will drive effective communications between leadership and organisation stakeholders by synthesising decisions and outputs of executive meetings. You are also responsible for following up with relevant stakeholders to ensure communications are executed and acted on effectively. The ability to handle sensitive information and senior level stakeholders will be necessary to execute this role effectively.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

  • Oversee and manage strategic projects assigned to the role, providing expert advice to relevant stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project outcome within time, scope, budget and quality
  • Assess risks, issues and inter-dependencies and proactively raise concerns to senior management to ensure successful delivery of projects with sustainable benefits
  • Design project success metrics, analyse data collected and present insights clearly to project stakeholders to facilitate the comprehension and acceptance of findings
  • Lead / develop teams (where necessary) and manage internal resources and to execute strategic projects effectively
  • Monitor and track project progress to allow sponsors and stakeholders to have visibility and sufficient information to make the required decision
  • Coordinate internal and external project meetings, track actions, develop reports and update dashboards
  • Ensure alignment between departmental activities and strategic goals, providing input where appropriate
  • Ensure standard project management procedures are followed throughout project execution

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Communicate follow up actions of strategic discussions from executive leadership meetings and / or events to relevant organization stakeholders to encourage the execution of relevant activities
  • Build relationships with organization / departmental stakeholders to facilitate productive communications
  • Facilitate cross departmental communication and manage diverse stakeholder relationships where necessary to ensure follow-up actions are met
  • Manage and escalate potential conflicts arose from misalignments with executive decisions and / or disagreements with leadership direction
  • Obtain feedback from key organisational stakeholders regarding executive decisions and follow up actions to be communicated back to executive leadership for consideration
  • Prepare relevant communication material to facilitate the comprehension of strategic objectives, meeting outcomes and follow-up actions (documentation, emails, summary of minutes, etc)

Executive/ Senior Leadership Meeting Facilitation

  • Develop and confirm various executive leadership meeting agendas, taking input from different leaders and functional heads as well as identifying relevant stakeholders for meeting participation
  • Produce pre-reading material based on meeting agenda which may include a preliminary analysis of data (when required), meeting presentation decks, relevant reports and supporting print-out material
  • Develop minutes of meetings, summarise meeting notes into key points and track decisions to ensure follow up actions according to agreed timelines
  • Provide logistical / administrative support where necessary and ensure appropriate presentation equipment is in place to ensure executive meetings run smoothly and without delay
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate with executive assistants to confirm the participation of identified stakeholders

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Lead the coordination of off-site company-wide meetings and special events, including the development of event agenda, event planning and logistical / administrative support where necessary
  • Prepare meeting materials and coordinate with presenters to conduct run through prior to event
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and support other executive assistants in designing detailed travel itineraries, taking into consideration changing calendars and adapting to schedule complications
  • Manage event budget, optimising value for event agenda, and documenting finances for expenses
  • Document event outcomes, collect feedback and identify areas of improvement for future events

Internal Communications & Working Relationships

  • CEO & Board Members
  • Regular engagement with CEO and board members to coordinate and document executive meetings, providing administrative / logistical support where necessary
  • Executive Team Leaders
  • Frequent interaction with executive team leaders to ensure discussion topics and follow-up actions from executive meetings are accurately documented and acted upon
  • Frequent interaction with sponsors of special projects (usually Executive Team leaders) to discuss project progress and to ensure sufficient information is provided for decision making 
  • Department Managers & Line Managers
  • Communicate often with department managers and line managers to ensure outputs of executive meetings and follow-up actions have been cascaded to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Regular interaction with project stakeholders in the whole organisation to ensure decisions from project sponsor / steering committee are clearly understood and aligned with their departmental work and any assigned actions are conducted in an appropriate manner
  • Executive Assistants & Secretaries (Regional Network)
  • Coordinate with executive assistants and secretaries across different regions to schedule availability of executive team and leadership to attend leadership meetings or project steering meetings

External Communications & Working Relationships

  • External Vendors
  • Engage consultants or external service providers as project partners for the delivery of projects
  • Engage independently event managers and relevant third party individuals to ensure smooth execution of regional meetings and events
  • Government Agencies & Learning Institutions
  • Engage when required to represent Borouge PTE in communicating with government agency and / or university representatives for follow up actions from executive meetings





Experience & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven high performance track record
  • Knowledge in two or more areas of the following is preferred: supply chain, finance, operations, and / or sales / marketing
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry is preferred

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 10 years of working experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in and / or working knowledge of the Borouge business
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant project management experience
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple executive stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive experience in handling confidential information
  • Experience coordinating large scale regional events, managing events end-to-end
  • Strong organising and planning skills, with experience in managing multiple projects
  • Excellent written and oral English Language skills
  • Fluent in Arabic language
  • Able to construct communication material and collaterals to facilitate comprehension of key messages
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and develop solutions to drive decision making
  • Problem solving and influencing skills
  • Experience in using data analytics to achieve productivity and optimization
  • Financial literacy
