Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the Role

You will be responsible for the company’s corporate finance initiatives, with particular focus on the financial analysis and assessment of the organic, inorganic growth opportunities and strategic investments of Borouge. 

The role will be required to develop and build complex valuation models with strong and defensible assumptions and implement standardised modelling assessment across the team and relevant projects. 

The role will be required to partake in major growth or restructuring projects within the business, often acting as a key analytics lead in developing financial models and providing key inputs to senior management for investment decisions.

This role assesses potential investment opportunities in excess of hundreds to billions USD and requires complex financial modelling and analysis over a 20 – 30 year horizon.

Key Accountabilities

Project Operations

  • Conduct business development activities, including analysing organic and inorganic expansion opportunities, geographical expansion and new business ventures for Borouge
  • Prepare and present commercial oriented recommendations to senior management based on detailed financial simulations with the aim of maximising business profitability, ROCE and cash flow profile.
  • Establish sound modelling and evaluation frameworks and processes within the team and will often liaise with counterparts across Borealis and ADNOC for methodology consistency
  • Ensure alignment and consistency in the overall evaluation methodology and assumptions applied when assessing multiple investment opportunities to facilitate optimal decision making
  • Perform desktop research and evaluate available information to assess new venture opportunities
  • Support senior business leaders to evaluate, assess and prioritise new venture opportunities which best align to Borouge’s strategic and growth objectives
  • Regular liaison and coordination with internal Business Controlling and other relevant functions for relevant business planning and reporting and presentations to Senior Management


Partnership and Ventures

  • Develop and build valuation models, often in leading role; conducting valuation and return on investment analysis on new venture opportunities and presenting results with advice and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders on investment decisions
  • Project manage transaction execution including due diligence, financial analysis whilst working closely with various internal functions (legal, tax, finance etc) and external advisers to support the execution.
  • Actively involved in the negotiation of transaction terms and conditions, legal documentation and agreements
  • Support and advise Head of Growth in the optimal structuring of deals from a commercial, legal and tax standpoint
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Engineering
  • Master Degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years relevant working experience 
  • Experience in Corporate Finance of Big 4 Accounting Firm or Investment Banking background is preferred
  • Prior experience in petrochemical industry is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, analysis and research
