Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

About The Role Reporting to Manager, Regional IT, you will be responsible to provide with the required second line application support and consultation for the IT Applications of Borouge as well as to coordinate and participate in the implementations of the their new modules or their enhancements to meet the growing demands of the business processes of the company and to maintain their smooth operations by ensuring their minimal downtime.
Key Accountabilities
  • Perform complex second line application support for the reported incidents, requests and problems of business, manufacturing and integration applications via phone calls, emails ,remote and in-person support
  • Fix problems reported for business, manufacturing and integration applications from the client support team by performing root cause analysis thereby providing a permanent solution
  • Co-ordinate with registered third party suppliers for the timely resolution of complex incidents and problems reported by business process specialist (BPS) of support for business, manufacturing and integration applications
  • Assess the new requirements received from the business to identify its feasibility and scope for automation
  • Monitor timely to provide the agreed level of availability for the business, manufacturing and integration applications by conducting the periodic monitoring to fix major incidents and problems within the agreed target response time
  • Develop the required enhancements within business, manufacturing and integration applications based on business requirements to meet the growing demands of the business
  • Participate in investigative studies aimed at the implementation of new applications within business, manufacturing Integration areas; improvement of the current systems by developing / expanding the functionality by analysing users’ requirements, evaluating current systems and proposing systems modifications or new designs to enhance the functionality of the existing systems to meet business requirements
  • Liaise effectively with customers to ensure service meets required standards and expectations and all user related incidents and problems are addressed rightly
  • Draft and subsequently maintain corresponding business, manufacturing and integration applications support installation standards/Procedures to be implemented organization wide
  • Provide adequate supervision and training for BPS (Business Process Specialist) to help adapt to the new / enhanced features of the business, manufacturing or Integration applications so that the end-users can be trained to benefit the best use of the Borouge set of applications
  • Lead the coordination activities with respective business units to ensure effective implementation of the business, manufacturing and integration applications by liaising with other internal functions to ensure any changes to requirements are addressed and performed within timelines
  • Establish, plan and implement the maintenance of supported business, manufacturing and integration applications to ensure it is carried out in accordance with solution provider’s recommendations
  • Lead / Participate in the implementation of IT projects specific to business, manufacturing and integration applications with the IT projects department, this includes scope of work, tender documents, bid evaluation, engineering, construction and commissioning
  • Collate relevant information for the generation of business, manufacturing and integration dept. KPI reports within specified timeframe for the management in aid in their decision making and control processes
  • Contribute to the development of the project implementation plans to reflect all relevant business and partner requirements are met realistically
  • Support the application providers to ensure Borouge receives value for money and high quality service levels for all purchased good and services
  • Provide technical guidance and input where necessary to inform decision making on issues such as feasibility studies for the procurement of new solutions or consultations
  • Enhance the technical expertise in the respective domains to be sync with the business demands
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualification

  • Good Knowledge of latest developments in the application areas of Business, Manufacturing and System integrations
  • Good understanding and awareness on IT Systems and services
  • Good command over English language (Reading, Writing, and Speaking)

 Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the area of IT applications support preferably SAP, LIMS, TIBCO, PI etc. In a corporate multi-location production company
  • Awareness on ITIL processes like Incident management and problem management is advisable
  • ITIL V3 foundation certification is preferred
  • Excellent problem solving, investigation, consultation and integration skills
  • Should be good in planning activities to be completed within time lines as well as in forecasting future activities
  • Self- learner of new application technologies and solutions
  • Sound knowledge of troubleshooting of applications like SAP, LIMS, PI, TIBCO etc
  • Good in MS-Office applications
  • Expertise in generating KPI reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (with people at all levels)
  • Should be well versed in client/vendor interactions
  • S4 Hybris implementation skills (or SAP CRM)
  • S4 OTC implementation skills (or R3 SD)
  • Business process knowledge (Marketing, Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Pricing)
  • Experience in SAP programming languages and service supporting tools (interfaces, web development)
  • Certified PMP with experience
