Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About The Role

Reporting to Vice President, Global Marketing, Packaging & Circular Economy, you are responsible for delivering overall P&L of the responsible applications/product families or technologies. You are also responsible for developing the global marketing plan and support Vice President to lead strategy formulation and implementation and manage centralized marketing activities, whilst leading the implementation of marketing plan to maximise profits at product and application levels by driving innovation and new product development that meet the regional market demand for the industry solutions.

Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop global marketing strategy and support regional development in line with global application strategy to align with the defined business strategy and achieve market success for the organisation
  • Develop the strategy and then align with regional for the implementation, with the defined business strategy by developing the marketing strategy for Borouge market and targeted applications
  • Manage and translate short-term (1 year) and long-term (3-5 years) marketing strategies and successful implementation of the strategy
  • Lead the implementation of marketing plan in order to achieve the strategy defined and ensure alignment with long term goals
  • Evaluate, define and prioritise market and customer opportunities in order to increase Borouge's competitive position and define industry and application opportunity
  • Own, develop and drive the innovation and product portfolio of selected applications in order to cater to the market's demand based on current and anticipated future market trend
  • Manage the development of differentiated products or product improvements based upon defined customer and market needs This is ok but also require alignment and interaction with PC
  • Define and implement the marketing communication strategy in cooperation with Group communication and Regions to position the applications, brands and products
P&L Responsibilities for Global Marketing Manager
  • Manage overall P&L including Revenue, Gross Margin, Premium, Value Creation and profit of specific applications and business
  • Identifying saving opportunities by focusing on product development, innovation, and through product owner operational control
  • Develop and implement methods to generate income (margin and premium) through connecting ideas from the global organization to enhance the business climate through adapting new development, technology, or products
  • Monitor the net income after expenses for a specific project, an application, or an innovation project, with direct influence on resources allocated
  • Achieve financial objectives requested by Vice-President by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Manage the financial aspects of product development, in terms of budgets and expenditures. including research and development appropriations
  • Monitor return-on-investment and profit-loss projections on product development
  • Recommend and track price premiums to differentiate Borouge products from competitors according to regional needs and work closely with performance cell to address deficiencies to said premium and drive, deliver and follow up on actions plans
  • Drive marketing change programmes in the targeted market regions and applications
  • Initiate market research studies, analyze their findings to enrich the marketing strategy
Manage & Engage Marketing Team to be Motivated & Achieve Goals
  • Drive engagement within the marketing team, this is part of the interaction with PC, therefore it should also include the engagement with regions PC
  • Lead and manage the team to achieve the marketing goals
  • Coach and motivate team members to ensure they are skilled and motivated to meet current and future business needs
Develop Effective Relationship & Network with Stakeholders to Understand their Business Needs
  • Analyse and understand customer needs in order to gather knowledge of their current and future
  • Build effective relationship and network with internal and external stakeholders too general but this is of course important
Lead Development of Strategic Packaging Application, Technology & Circular Development Projects
  • Drive business growth objectives through the innovative application portfolio, ensure strategic innovation targets are met
  • Use full value chain engagement to seek new business opportunities for packaging business portfolio
  • Seek to reduce costs and time to market; suggest and share innovative ideas that have practical application and business potential
Program Management
  • Timely define, prioritize and align with senior management the right innovation opportunities based on the strategic priorities for marketing
  • Ensure sufficient support for strategic development projects
  • Resolve priorities conflicts or resource constraints within the appropriate governance forum
  • Influences new and existing industry standards in order to protect and safeguard Borouge existing and future product innovation and differentiation
Business Development & Growth
  • Being responsible of the speciality applications a strong requirement to drive growth across the entire value chain for applications such as Agriculture, Healthcare, Solar
  • Requirement to create, drive and implement growth strategy as aligned with PTE Executive Team and Borealis (for Borealis projects)
  • Drive interaction with both of Borouge Owners (Borealis and Adnoc) in regards to Business Growth, In-Country Value and be the strategic conduit for Performance cells to drive premium and profitability
  • Report and manage the relationship with senior sales leaders within Borealis as well as marketing to derive the value proposition and price positioning of Borealis products
  • Work cross-functionally with the COE’s to drive future white space development and support strategy creation for entry into new market areas, new product segments and to understand future market trends
Qualification & Experience
Minimum Qualification
  • University degree with preferably a post-graduate qualification, preferred MBA from Top Tier Institute
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • More than 12 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent understanding of relevant systems and processes
  • Excellent understanding of relevant policies and procedures
  • Good understanding of legislation and regulations
  • Good understanding of Borouge and its businesses
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills
  • Excellent in written and spoken English
  • Good consulting and coaching skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
