Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About the Job

Demand Planning

Reporting to the Vice President, you are responsible executes the short-term demand planning steps and demand control process for the grade portfolio attributed to him/her according to the Performance Cell strategies in order to maximise profit and customer service. This role needs to work in close alignment with the Performance Cell VP due to the high impact on working capital and business performance.

Analyst

The Analyst function within Asia South is pooled under Strategy and Performance (S&P). This means that the Analysts in S&P have a wide scope, supporting the full Asia South organization (including Performance Cells and Supply Chain).

The job purpose of the Analyst is to prepare analysis and provide recommendations to management. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing management presentations, providing recommendation for business decisions, providing transparent reports and analyses, assessing business risks, participating in or leading projects, noting actions and decisions in Performance Cell management meetings.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities:

Demand Planning

  • Review and update Regional Demand Plan (SABU) for short and medium term, reflecting latest changes in the market considering products segmentation and relevant importance of demand.
  • Execute the short term (month 1 and 2) related demand planning steps (ROM/APSA) by using the Sales and Operational Planning process input and applying the Performance Cell strategies targeting maximum profit and customer service (by also taking the logistical cost picture into account).

Demand Control

  • Drives the demand control process and respond to any new sales opportunity for extra demand.
  • Allocate and re-allocate volumes targeting maximisation of profit and customer service.
  • Proactively safeguard the customers agreed product availability by maintaining frequent contact with the Global Team, Performance Cell and SCM Team.
  • Act as troubleshooter in case of supply/demand disruptions for the short term.
  • Active order follow-up during current month. Define gap closing. Advise/follow-up corrective actions towards Performance Cell in co-operation with Performance Cell VP.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly meetings to provide business progress update.

Supply Gap Balancing

  • Provide summary on major gaps to stakeholders, propose solutions to solve operation hiccups with alignments.
  • Continuous effort to identify and address supply gap to ensure business continuity.

Other

  • Participate ad hoc in demand management projects.
  • Act as back-up for other demand planner(s) when needed.
  • Participate in Key Performance Cell workshops (internal/external).
  • Assist in customer claims and participate in defining corrective actions in order to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Analyse demand forecasting KPI’s and propose corrective actions.

Analyst

  • Conduct analysis and prepare recommendations on business topics
  • Prepare management presentations including recommendations and clear motivations
  • Support the S&P team to keep and maintain good record of approved business case for tracking and monitoring purpose.
  • Facilitate the SAP setup for contract rebate and formula price contract
  • Facilitate upload of the signed commercial contracts onto the database and track and monitor the execution of contract with related analyses.
  • Develop and run price/data analytics which can form basis for discussions in Strategy and Performance review forums
  • Planning and organizing activities pertaining to regular weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings
  • Regular follow-up and monitoring to ensure implementation of required actions which are generated from weekly, monthly or quarterly meetings
  • Other tasks assigned by head of S&P. 

 

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor degree

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in demand and supply planning, business analysis.
  • Fluency in business English with strong presentation skills
  • Excellent data analytical skill, strong analytical skills and sensitive to numbers.
  • Familiar with Sales & Operational Planning processes
  • Expert MS excel, PPT, SAP APO, S/4 Hana
  • Confidence to proactively initiate actions based on analysed data
  • Excellent work prioritization and planning skills
  • Must be able to take ownership of tasks and consistently deliver on time, high quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Good teamwork and strong sense of responsibilities.
