Recruitment fraud and scam alert

Please be aware that Borouge has been receiving notices from candidates seeking clarification of job offers and recruitment propositions they receive. These job offers come from organisations or individuals who are falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) or by people claiming to work for, or are affiliated, to Borouge. In return, they ask the recipients of the job offers to transfer a significant sum of money to pay for certain employment requirements such as visa, etc.

Please note that neither Borouge nor any of the legal organisations that recruit on our behalf ask for any money or payments from applicants at any point throughout the recruitment process. All the successful individuals who have been directly or indirectly provided with job offers from Borouge are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. All communications with this regard should originate from a verifiable Borouge email address (borouge.com) and not from an internet email addresses such as hotmail, yahoo or others.

What you need to do…

• Do not respond to unsolicited job offers from organisations or email addresses that you do not know or trust especially when you have not applied nor gone through any interview with Borouge yet

• Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you are not familiar with

• Be aware and look out for suspicious signs such as communications from non-Borouge email addresses, poor use of English and materials and requests for fees or money

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, Asia Pacific, you are responsible for the following:

  • Support the areas of talent management & succession planning, learning & development, performance management, within functions of Borouge PTE.
  • Act as “Center Of Excellence” in providing useful data and analysis to support the strategic direction for talent management solution to attract, motivate and retain Borouge Talents.
  • Involve in designing, developing, implementing and monitoring of products and service; review policies and procedures, perform data analysis and audits according to business requirements and internal SOPs.
  • In order to achieve desired level of performance, the job holder needs to have maturity and excellent interpersonal skill to work closely with Leadership team and regional stakeholders to implement strategies and plan.

This position is based in Singapore.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership Development

  • Evaluate existing proficiencies and capabilities within leaders to identify gaps to improve and continually offer adequate coaching and leadership development programs to enhance company-wide leadership depth and bench-strength
  • Develop in collaboration with the business and implement in-house leadership mentor pool to achieve leadership pipeline

Learning & Development

  • Identifying individual and organisational level development needs, and ability to translate needs to learning interventions
  • Review regional Training Needs Analysis (include data collection, analysis, recommendations) with a view towards establishing organisation development solutions
  • Manage implementation of existing training plans, training budgets, training roadmaps and training programs for continuous improvement to meet changing business needs
  • Manage implementation of administrative procedures such as audit findings to comply with ISO requirements
  • Implement enhancement on Learning Management System (LMS) to support build-up of Learning Organisation

Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Plan and organise People Day processes for talent review and succession planning to identify high potentials at function and organisation levels
  • Facilitate function People Day talent review discussion to achieve to leadership talent development goals
  • Coach and facilitate identified high potentials on how to optimize their growth and development through career development programs and learning recommendations
  • Develop and strengthen coaching and mentoring initiatives to support leadership and staff development and achievement of Personal Development Plan

Organisation Development and Employment Branding

  • Assist manager in assessing organisational effectiveness via regular interactions with the business particularly when engaged in team building and team effectiveness activities. Have the ability to identify and provide constructive feedback with aim to improve team synergies, organisation culture and productivity
  • Drive employment branding initiatives in promoting Borouge equity in the community
  • Ensure Borouge’s presence and participation in relevant industry networking events, forums and learning institution sponsorships
  • Drive collaboration with universities in overseas and local internship program

Performance Management Rewards

  • Review and implement a performance management and improvement process that leads to a positive and measurable impact on the organisation’s overall performance across Borouge PTE
  • Develop appropriate organisation-wide performance training. Implement performance management building for all levels of management and employees
  • Drive a continuous performance improvement effort and monitoring and reporting system
  • Act as subject matter expert to advise on the design of the information technology infrastructure required to support a company-wide performance management system. To also provide recommendations for future improvements of the system
Qualification & Experience

About You:

Minimum Qualification

  •  University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or any Management or Business Disciplines

Minimum Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Fluency in English and applicable regional language is a-must; written and oral
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of Total Rewards fundamentals, programs and its application / implications in respective local markets
  • Broad understanding in other HR areas, i.e. talent acquisition, performance management, talent management and HR services
  • Understand applications of survey methodology by various market data providers
  • Experience in data management and analytics
  • Experience in project management and deployment of Change Management initiatives
  • Understanding of Borouge and its businesses
  • Organisational development, facilitation skills
  • Possess generic knowledge of immigration, expatriate taxation and mobility practices
  • Strategic and consultative, demonstrate advanced interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships & credibility with stakeholders
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple priorities, and across multiple countries 
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with excellent Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter and highly change orientated
  • Meticulous to details
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as an integral part of the HR Team
  • Demonstrate abilities to exercise sound judgment, present well formulated points of view and to justify ideas with good data
  • Experience with SAP HR System desirable
