Disruptive Innovation is an innovation that creates a new market and value network and eventually disrupts an existing market and value network, displacing established market-leading firms, products, and alliances

The jobholder is responsible to lead the disruptive innovation process for Borouge to derive future business horizontal expansion by introducing new business and product concepts and opportunities.

This role includes; lead the development of the Disruptive Innovation Strategy and contribute to the associated business planning, provide with broad reviews and datamining for polymers industry’ technology, machinery and product processing, setup plans and reviews for the relevant Product Development as part of the product marketing plans. While leading the internal and external interface with research, OEMs, and respective institutes.

As a successful candidate, you will have:

• Minimum Qualification

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymers Science, or any equivalent Chemical, Engineering, or Science Disciplines.

  • Preferred to have PhD or Master’s degree(s) in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Master’s in Business Administration or MBA is an advantage.

  Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in polymers’ technical / process occupations.

  • Minimum of 5 years in polymers processing, or technical service occupations.

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in Project Management.

  • Fundamental understanding and knowledge of business, operation and innovation

  • Preferred to have previous exposure in people management.

  • Strong understanding of Polymers Business, Market, Applications, and end-to-end consumer needs.

  • Sounds knowledge in business’ reviews, scenarios, studies, benchmarking and research.

  • Advanced communication and influencing skills with previous wide-range of connections within the polymers industry.

  • Working knowledge with product’s financial-related aspects, quality, and performance.

  • Excellent  knowledge of general plastics processing, testing ,analytical equipment and techniques

  • Very strong influencing and advisory skills, comfortable in working in matrix organizational model and context

  • Effective people management skills

  • Have the effectiveness to manage in a multicultural context

  Professional Certifications

  • Preferred to be certified in Project Management; PMP
